South Devon River Champions

An informal community network showcasing actions and events throughout the South Devon catchments

We are a network organisation providing a communication platform for catchment groups in South Devon to profile their activities through the biannual South Devon River Voices digital magazine, the monthly River Voices e-newsletter and the River Discovery Zone marquee at the Devon County Show. ​

South Devon River Champions was inspired by the Rivers Assembly organised by Sustainable South Hams CIC which showcased the many Specialist Organisations and community Catchment Groups engaged in work which enables wildlife to thrive in our catchment and our rivers to be clean. 

We connect community groups, parish councils, farmers, landowners and businesses in South Devon catchment areas for the rivers – Yealm, Erme, Avon, Gara, Dart  and the Salcombe/Kingsbridge Estuary.
